What’s involved in a Chisel Check Up?

Account structure – are income and expense codes set up correctly? Is reporting giving a clear picture of where money is earned and spent?

Bank Reconciliation – ddoes the bank feed reconcile accurately to bank statements? Discrepancies here are more common than most business owners expect.

GST/BAS – has GST been coded correctly across transactions? Does the ATO liability account reconcile to the balance sheet and match ATO records?

Payroll – is payroll set up correctly and are STP Phase 2 requirements being met? Are superannuation payments being processed at the correct amounts?

Assets – have business assets been recorded accurately in the file?

Liabilities — are all business liabilities showing correctly?

Debtors & Creditors – are debtor and creditor balances current and accurate?
